Find Your Band Personality
- First-time explorer: prioritize clear communication, collection instructions and a manageable package.
- Party chaser: ask about the music lineup and road experience.
- Costume lover: compare construction, sizing, weight and accessories.
- Comfort-focused traveler: ask about amenities, accessibility and what upgraded packages actually include.
- Road warrior: choose footwear and costume fit you can comfortably move in.
What to Compare Before Paying
Frontline and Backline
These usually describe costume designs or package tiers. Ask what changes between them. A tier name does not guarantee parade position, camera coverage or a specific road experience.
Package Inclusions
Get the inclusions in writing: costume pieces, admission, food, drinks, pickup arrangements and any extras. Ask about dietary needs, non-alcoholic options and restrictions. A band package does not automatically include Jβouvert or separate fetes.
Fit, Collection and Communication
Confirm sizing, alterations, collection address, appointment requirements and the latest pickup time. Identify the bandβs contact and your section leader. Ask how last-minute changes will be communicated.
Payment and Cancellation
Check the deposit, payment-plan fees, balance deadline, refund policy and transfer rules. These differ by band. Do not assume availability because a website still shows a costume.
